Nas Leber is a multidisciplinary artist from the Bronx, NY. From composing music, DJing, writing songs, and playing various instruments, to graphic design and illustration, Leber is a creative force to be reckoned with. Born from two immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic and Ecuador who arrived in New York City at a young age, Nas has a deep connection with the rich cultural history of New York and his parents’ native countries. With his Dominican mother growing up in East New York in the 1980’s and his Ecuadorian father growing up in Washington Heights in the 1970’s, everything from Bachata, Cumbia, Salsa, Bolero, to NYC B-boy Hip-Hop culture, Reggaeton, Dancehall, Freestyle House music and even Grunge and Heavy Metal have had an incredible impact in Leber’s taste and interests in making music. Inspired by the stories from his family, his own experiences maneuvering through the city, and a deep interest in TV and film, Nas has galvanized all these influences into his style and flavor. Leber has always had a passion for the arts and has always tried to surround himself with other artists of all mediums who inspire him and make him strive to improve his work. Through these relationships and connections, Leber has established a strong name for himself in the artistic and music community; a well-known mover and shaker in the city.
